This past sunday i had the pleasure of seeing new york’s very own orpheus chamber orchestra perform with my favorite brooklyn songwriter Gabriel Kahane as the guest composer for the evening. Orpheus opened with a piece by Paul Hindemith called “Kammermusik No 1,” then an original piece by Kahane called “orinoco sketches.” both equally impressive....

So, i’ve spent the last three days cooped up in mike beck’s studio in clinton hill putting the finishing touches on the new Stationary Set LP “Haunt On”. It’s been a tedious and exciting process,. we started tracking in November and after re-recording a couple tunes and scrapping several, we’ve solidified the 10 tracks. ...
